Destinations this Week: Hinkley, Nuneaton and Kenilworth

This week saw Premier Hog Roast in Hinkley, Nuneaton and Kenilworth: 3 historic and scenic towns in the heart of the west midlands. We served up some great customised menus which all went down exceptionally well. Things are getting busier in the run up to Christmas and so we’d just like to remind all our customers that hog roasts are especially popular round this festive time and the orders are flooding in – if you’d like to secure our services then act fast!

A Pig roast in Nuneaton was the first port of call for the week. Did you know that Nuneaton is one of the only remaining towns in the UK to still have an active indoor pub shooting range? The idea was introduced by Queen Victoria in the 1890’s after she heard of the sub-par British shooting in the Boer War. The more you know! Anyway, the hog roast we took to the venue this week was a prize specimen, beautifully glazed in a chilli flavouring rub, as per request of our client. As always, we prepare our pigs the night before the event by covering them with just the right amount of olive oil and salt, to ensure the meat is tender and the crackling is crispy. This method has never failed us, or the generations before us who tried, tested and perfected it before passing it down the line.

Hinkley was up next, and a jacket potato menu for an outdoor sports event was an especially wise choice by our clients, and was appreciated by the players. What better way to warm you up when you find yourself on the verge of winter but also required to run about in the mud for 90 minutes? It’s safe to say that we were soon out of food after the match had ended!

And finally, to end the week, a hog roast in Kenilworth saw us bringing yet another fine pig to roast for our clients – who were in the mood for our signature Thyme and Rosemary flavouring rub with an accompanying bacon and apple stuffing. A superb choice if I do say so myself! A large corporate event was the setting in Kenilworth this week, for over 200 people! We really do mean it when we say no event is too big or too small.
